The sunrise of 5th  September 1998  brought a new beginning to Hilltop Colony, SOCP when MCL  (Mahanadi Coal Field Limited) and DAVCMC, New Delhi went into a pact and DAV Public School, SOCP was opened to impart quality education and provide all-round development to the students of this locality.

The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Shri N.D.Grover, President, DAVCMC, Shri C.M.Rao the chairperson of the  LMC and the 1st principal, Ms.Sarad Priya Patjoshi.

The  School started working with  Primary classes with a modest but dedicated staff. We went on adding classes and in 2009, the school got affiliated to CBSE as a secondary school. Since then we have been performing well academically and our students have left their footprint in state and national levels.

At present with  48  staff members and 900  students. We are committed to our goal of providing academic, co-curricular excellence and nation-building.
